From the Wall Street Journal slamming YA books to the gender bias in children's books, my RSS feeds seem to be conspiring to royally cheese me off these days. And that was even before I read about the 8 year-old girl who was starving herself, an hour before I tagged a post on the food prices crisis.
So before I went all Michael Douglas in "Falling Down" on this messed-up planet of ours, I decided I'd better lighten up a bit.
First I slapped on "The Mighty Boosh" and watched my favourite episode, all the while compiling a new playlist featuring They Might be Giants, and the queen of all feel-good songs, 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.'
And later on I am going to treat myself to the craft books I'd been saving until the weekend: "Scandinavian Needlecraft" and "Vintage Craft Workshop."
Safer than trashing a fast-food joint anyway.
